Online Jobs That Pay Daily

The post Online Jobs That Pay Daily appeared first on Millennial Money.

Having a job that pays daily may not seem like a reality, but it’s possible if you work online. Today, you can find hundreds of online jobs that pay daily, making it easy to supplement your income.

The daily paid online jobs listed below are easy, can be done in your free time, and will allow you to increase your earnings from home instantly.

19 Best Online Jobs That Pay Daily

1. Survey Sites

Paid online surveys are a great way to make money online. I love them because they are one of the most popular online side jobs. Sites like MyPoints, Swagbucks, and Survey Junkie have been around for years and paid millions to answer online surveys.

Sign up for as many survey sites as possible to get paid daily. First, complete your profile with as many details as possible to increase your chances of receiving survey invitations. Then, when you receive an invitation, act quickly, as they are first come, first serve.

I like to set up a separate email account to manage the invitations so my regular email account doesn’t get overwhelmed with too many emails. I check the account at specific times each day and take advantage of as many survey opportunities as possible.

The surveys may take several minutes to an hour, depending on the subject and the market research company’s requirements. So, naturally, the longer the survey, the more they pay.

Most major sites offering paid surveys have a low minimum cash-out threshold of $5, so it’s easy to make money the same day if you answer a few surveys.

Some sites, like InboxDollars, require a much larger threshold of $30. They are still daily paid online jobs, but it might take a few weeks to reach the threshold with consistent effort.

2. Sell Online

If you want to get paid today, consider selling items online. There are many ways to do this. The easiest is to look around your house and find things you no longer need or use. For example, you went through a phase of loving Lululemon leggings but haven’t worn them in over a year. Instead of letting them collect dust, sell them on sites like Poshmark or Facebook Marketplace. You’ll get paid instantly and declutter your house.

I’ve also found other great ways to get paid daily by selling homemade items on Etsy. You don’t have to be crafty to make money on this website. There are many other categories you can sell items in, including:

  • Digital items (calendars, planners, stickers, etc.)
  • Craft supplies
  • Arts and collectibles
  • Boutique clothing and shoes

If you love finding deals and flipping them, you can get paid today selling items on Amazon, eBay, or Facebook Marketplace. Many ‘deal finders’ scour stores like TJ Maxx, Ross, and Nordstrom Rack to find deals and then sell them for a profit online. You can also sell deals you find at garage sales or on a marketplace yourself.

3. Website Testing

You can earn extra cash testing websites for money. Companies hire third-party website testing companies to pay people to test their websites before they release them.

The goal is to get user feedback and to work out any bugs before they release the website to the public. The tests vary in length and in what you must do. Some quick tests take a few minutes and pay $1 or so for each test. Others take a little longer but pay as much as $10 per test.

I personally like PlaytestCloud the best. You earn $9 for tests that take approximately 15 minutes. Another popular website testing platform is UserTesting.com. They pay $10 for each test that takes around 20 minutes.

Like any survey site, the test opportunities are first come, first serve, so act fast when you receive a notification. Some sites let you cash out instantly, and others take up to 7 days to send you payment.

4. Virtual Assistant

Virtual assistant jobs are online jobs that pay daily and sometimes weekly. These online jobs offer the most variety because you can do many different tasks for companies. If you work for a virtual assistant platform, you can work for several clients at a time, providing additional services and setting your own schedule.

If you set up your own virtual assistant company, you can set your rates and schedule and get paid daily. But if you sign up with any of the platforms below, you’ll earn pay daily but may get paid weekly.

You can do a variety of tasks with virtual assistant jobs, but here are the most common:

  • Answering calls
  • Making calls
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Managing Facebook ads
  • Managing social media accounts
  • Responding to emails
  • Data entry
  • Administrative tasks

To get started, list your services on marketplaces for freelance jobs, like Fiverr or Upwork. You can also advertise your services on social media or word-of-mouth.

5. Data Entry

Data entry jobs are legit online jobs that pay daily or sometimes weekly. I like them because they are mindless. You can do them in your free time and put more money in your bank account.

To be successful at data entry and to get jobs that pay cash daily, you’ll need excellent attention to detail and to type fast. But that’s all it takes to succeed. They usually aren’t high-paying online jobs, but you could earn decent cash with consistency.

You can find data entry jobs on Fiverr, Upwork, DataPlus+, and DionData Solutions. If you do data entry for a company, you may have to pass a background check and specific certification tests to prove you’re capable of handling the tasks.

6. Mobile Apps

If you’re like most people, you carry a smartphone everywhere. So why not let your phone help you find jobs that pay daily?

It’s easier than you think.

My personal favorite is Ibotta. You can earn cash back for doing what you love – shopping! You can shop online or in-store at the grocery store and make money. The app works with over 1,500 brands online and at the grocery store, paying you a percentage of your purchase back.

I like to use it while grocery shopping. I activate my offers before going to the store and have almost instant earnings. To maximize your earnings, shop through the Ibotta app online, and you’ll also earn a percentage of your purchase. You can cash out at $20 with Ibotta, which doesn’t take long.

If you’d rather do tasks to earn pay daily, try Field Agent or Easy Shift. Field Agent pays users to go to stores or other locations, take pictures, check prices, and evaluate displays, reporting in the app. Easy Shift operates similarly, paying you to take pictures and check prices, but you must sign up for a shift.

While they don’t pay daily cash, both apps pay within 48 hours, which is almost the same.

7. Affiliate Marketing

If you’re looking for high-paying online jobs and don’t mind promoting other companies, consider affiliate marketing.

What You’ll Need:

You’ll need an online space to promote your links, though. This works best for bloggers, vloggers, and social media influencers. What I love about affiliate marketing is you work it on your own schedule, and you’re in charge of what you promote.

You’ll need a large audience to promote your links to, which can take time if you don’t already have an audience.

How They Work:

You promote or include a link in your writing, including blog and social media posts. Make the link flow with what you’re saying; for example, don’t have a link for baby diapers if your conversation is about smartphones. Make it legitimate.

When you include links that your readers or viewers think are helpful, they may click on them and buy them. For example, if you’re a fashion blogger and you share a link to a big sale American Eagle has, your readers are likely to click on the link, browse, and maybe spend money.

As an affiliate, you earn a percentage of their purchase from 10% to 50% of the sale. You may also consider including sponsored posts. These are blog posts or vlogs dedicated to a specific brand or product. Companies and brands may approach you to write these posts as you build your audience. If you’re like me and only accept offers from companies you support and believe in, you’ll have a more extensive following and earn more money.

Affiliate marketing is an online job that earns daily, but may not always pay out daily, meaning cash in your hand the same day—seeing your earnings can take a few weeks or even a month. However, once you start and the more affiliate programs you partner with, you’ll have a steady flow of income coming in throughout the month.

8. Blogging

Blogging is a great online job that you can work on your own schedule. You don’t have to apply with a platform, app, or company. A blog is something you own and operate yourself.

Blogging is one of the best online jobs because you are in charge. You choose your niche, where you’ll host your blog, how often you write, and the content you share.

When you start a blog, you won’t make money. It takes effort, and your money is worth time, so make sure you’re using it wisely.

To get paid online for blogging, you’ll need a large audience. Once you have the audience, you can monetize your blog with affiliate marketing, as discussed above. Also, if you have your own products, you can sell them on your blog and make more money online.

You can also add a blog to an online store to make more money. The options are endless.

If you aren’t interested in maintaining your own blog, you can be a freelance writer for blog owners. Most hire writers to be ghostwriters. In other words, you write the content, but the blog owner publishes the content in his name.

Many business owners don’t have time to maintain their blogs or don’t know how to write well and hire bloggers to handle it. As a result, you can make a decent income and cash out your earnings weekly or even the same day, depending on your contract.

9. Freelance Writing

Speaking of freelance ghostwriting, freelance writing jobs are also great online jobs. Some writing jobs pay daily, and others pay weekly.

If you run your own content business, you can ask for payment upfront to get paid daily, or you can wait to get paid upon completing the assignment.

As a freelancer, you’re responsible for running your business. You can invoice clients weekly, or upon completion of an assignment.

You also decide what content you’ll write. I talked about blogging earlier as that’s the most commonly requested freelance writing job, but there are others too. For example, a business owner might hire you to write their website content, rewrite their existing content, create sales pages, write emails, or create video scripts.

In your freelance writing jobs, you can also offer social media content services if you are good at social media. Again, you don’t have to manage the sites but can write the content and earn pay weekly or even daily in some cases.

10. Online Tutoring

Virtual tutoring became popular during the pandemic, and its popularity continues today. Online tutoring jobs allow you to tutor in almost any subject, giving you many opportunities to earn pay daily.

Sites like TutorMe, pay $16 an hour and offer tutoring in various subjects, including math, English, science, and history. You get paid instantly for each class you teach, and TutorMe pays weekly.

You can also earn money tutoring in English on sites like Cambly. They pay $0.17 per minute, which comes out to an average of $10 an hour. You earn money each time you teach, and they pay weekly on Mondays.

Studypool is another common tutoring website, but instead of tutoring directly, you answer questions posted by students. You bid on the questions you want to answer, and if your answer is accepted, you get paid. You can cash out instantly, but it can take up to three days to receive your payment, depending on your bank.

11. Transcription

You can transcribe audio content with paid daily jobs if you have excellent attention to detail and a quiet environment. Transcription jobs turn audio content into written content.

To succeed, you must have good typing skills and grammar. In addition, it helps if you can comprehend the audio content you hear and turn it into written content quickly. The faster you work per audio hour, the more money you’ll earn.

You can set up a freelance transcription business and charge clients as soon as the transcription jobs are complete, or you can work for a transcription company. For example, Transcribe Me pays weekly but offers the option to cash out daily once you earn at least $1.

Beginner transcriptionists make $3 – $11 an hour, which doesn’t make it one of the best paying online jobs, but with experience, you can earn as much as $20 an hour.

12. Editing/Proofreading

You can get paid daily to edit online content if you have good grammar skills. In addition, you can proofread various content, including blogs, website content, ebooks, and reports.

You don’t need a lot of education or skills to find proofreading jobs, but the more experience you have, the more money you’ll earn. If you run your own proofreading business, you can charge clients upfront for work or collect payment after you complete the job.

Several online platforms offer online jobs that pay daily or weekly for proofreading services. Upwork and Fiverr are the two most common platforms freelancers use for free online jobs.

You create a profile and gigs on the platform, advertising the services you’ll offer. Be specific about what you’ll proofread, including if you only work in particular industries or only edit certain types of documents.

You can set up direct deposit with these platforms and get paid weekly. You can also combine your services with freelance writing services to increase your earnings and make the most of online side jobs.

13. Graphic Design

If you’re an experienced graphic designer, you can get jobs that pay daily or weekly and pay well. Whether you run a side gig, operate your own graphic design business, or work on a platform like Fiverr or Upwork, graphic design is among the higher-paying jobs online.

New graphic designers make as much as $25 an hour; as you build more experience, you can charge more.

If you start a gig on a freelance platform, make sure you provide a detailed profile letting potential buyers know what you offer and why they should choose you. If you have a portfolio, you can showcase it on these sites, giving viewers a better understanding of what you offer.

14. Web Design

Web design is one of the best online jobs because it pays well. You can get paid daily if you request payment upfront, but I suggest asking for half up front and the other half upon project completion.

Web designers can make a lot of money because every business owner needs a website. If a business doesn’t exist online, it’s almost like it doesn’t exist.

You can offer custom-designed websites or create website templates if you want something faster to provide clients with. Of course, custom-designed websites will earn more money, but if this is a side gig, you may not be looking for a full-time income.

Like graphic design, you can start your own company or advertise services on third-party platforms like Fiverr or Upwork to leverage their audience. Remember, while they offer online jobs with daily payment, you can’t collect your earnings until you complete the job and the buyer accepts it. Fiverr, for example, gives buyers three days to accept the offer. Your earnings then clear 7 to 14 days after acceptance.

15. Online Coaching

Online coaching is a great way to work online from home doing what you love. You can be a coach in many areas, including:

  • Fitness
  • Health (eating, mental health, etc.)
  • Professional services
  • Life coach

Before you offer coaching services, check with your local regulations to see if you should be licensed or need any special certifications before advertising your services.

16. Translator

If you are fluent in another language, you can find jobs that pay cash daily to translate. You can offer your services on third-party platforms like Fiverr or Upwork or find translation websites like TranslatorsCafe.com. To earn money online translating, ensure you are certified and can handle the needed jobs.

17. Customer Service/Support

Customer support jobs typically pay weekly, but you can earn up to $10+ an hour. Some companies require you to have a year or two of customer service experience, and others only require that you’re 18+ years old and have a high school diploma or GED.

Many major companies offer the best-paying online jobs. To find out of your favorite companies are hiring, check out their career page and search ‘work from home.’ With an online job, you earn pay daily but usually receive payment weekly via direct deposit or a PayPal account. Companies that offer work-from-home jobs include:

TeleTech

Now known as TTEC, representatives conduct surveys and provide customer support. TTEC has over 48,000 employees and operates across 19 countries

Amazon

Answer phone calls and emails for one of the largest companies in the world. Amazon customer service workers help customers with everything from account issues, connecting Amazon devices, answering shipping questions, and processing returns.

VIPDesk Connect

Answer customer questions via email, social media chats, and on the phone. VIPDesk Connect aims to reduce customer frustration, provide personal, human interactions, increase Net Promoter Scores, and emphasize making a difference in the environment.

Apple @ Home

As an Apple @ Home advisor, you are part of the Apple Support team. You will answer questions and help Apple users solve problems by troubleshooting and offering tech support by phone, chat, or email- all while working from home.

18. Bookkeeping

Just like business owners need a website to run a business, they also need a bookkeeper. Business owners tired of burning the candle at both ends often outsource their bookkeeping services. Some also get a wake-up call when they try to file their taxes and find out they aren’t organized enough with the necessary information to handle them.

Bookkeepers have some of the best-paying online jobs; you may earn a full-time income as a bookkeeper online. Make sure you’re certified and keep up with your continuing education to offer these services.

19. Microtask Websites

Most online jobs I’ve found that pay for microtasks pays $1 or so for quick tasks. You get paid daily but can cash out every seven days. These sites offer free online jobs that many consider ‘micro tasks.’ The most common task is data entry, but you might find other tasks, like categorizing data, research, processing registrations, or locating contact information.

The jobs take only a few minutes, so the low pay may not be a big concern, especially if you have enough free time to handle multiple tasks. These sites offer legit online jobs:

Amazon mTurk

Amazon MTurk is a crowdsourcing platform for users looking to complete microtasks- or quick, small jobs. These include surveys, transcriptions, and descriptions for search engines. Users receive task instructions, and upon completion, the work is reviewed. If your work is accepted you will be approved for payment.

Clickworker

Clickworkers can complete short tasks and micro-tasks that are assigned to you through the Clickworker platform. These tasks generally involve things like data entry, social media engagement, and other relatively simple online activities. When you complete a task, you will typically earn a small amount of money. You can also choose to receive payments in the form of gift cards or other rewards instead of cash.

Onespace

Onespace is a freelancing platform where workers can earn money daily doing anything from product research to data entry. You are able to work as much or as little as you like, and is a great way to build experience.

Benefits of Online Jobs That Pay Daily

If you’re like me, you’re used to the 9 to 5 job that offers weekly pay; some even pay you monthly. But unfortunately, while that big paycheck might feel great, it can make the time in between rather stressful.

What if you have an emergency or there’s something you want, but payday is two weeks away? Those days can be part of your history if you work online jobs that pay daily or weekly. In addition, online jobs that pay well can help you have a little more fun in your life, and you don’t have to worry about answering to another boss.

If you need money between paydays, you might wonder how to find jobs that pay daily. Luckily, I’ve researched for you and found 19 legit online jobs that pay the same day.

Why Work and Get Paid the Same Day

The most common reason people look for online jobs that pay daily is to come up with quick cash. Emergencies, unexpected expenses, and miscalculating your budget happen. It’s not a reason to beat yourself up, but you might need jobs that pay daily to earn quick money.

I like online jobs that pay daily because it supplements my income. You can use the money to save for a splurge item, emergency savings, or to increase your retirement savings. Of course, jobs that pay daily don’t always pay a lot, so don’t think you’ll quit your full-time job to do these, but they can be a great supplement.

Can You Really Work Online and Get Paid Instantly?

You might wonder, are there legit online jobs that pay daily? It sounds too good to be true.

I’ve found many tasks or jobs that pay daily; some are actual jobs you work for someone (as a contractor), and others are tasks you can do on the side to earn money.

You’ll earn money daily with most of these daily online jobs, but some have a threshold you must meet before you can cash out. Read the fine print so you know whether you’ll receive your cash the same day or if you have to wait until you reach a certain balance.

Even if the jobs pay weekly or in another interval, you’re earning cash daily. While you might not have money in hand instantly, knowing that your payday is just around the corner and it supplements your full-time income can be reassuring.

How Companies Pay Out Same Day

Some, not all companies, pay out the same day. Those that do credit your account instantly for your work. For example, if you answer a survey and earn money, they credit your account with the funds. If the site doesn’t have a minimum threshold, you can withdraw the funds to your PayPal account and have the funds instantly.

However, getting money from sites with a minimum threshold may take a little longer. So if you’re in a pinch for money, focus on the sites with no minimum threshold so you can get your PayPal cash daily.

Remember that the money earned from companies that pay daily may take a few days to get to you. The funds are usually received instantly if you use your PayPal account, but sending them to your bank account takes time. Some banks take three to five days to clear the funds or longer.

Some companies may offer direct deposit, which may give you access to the funds faster. Always ask about your options to receive your funds the fastest.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is It Worth It to Cash Out Every Day?

It can be a hassle to take cash out every day. You can cash out daily or weekly with most of the online jobs I shared in this article. It can be more beneficial to wait for weekly pay, scheduling it so that you receive extra cash on the weeks you don’t get paid from your regular job.

Are Online Same Day Pay Jobs Legit?

There are plenty of legit online jobs that pay daily, but there are just as many scams. So every time you see free online jobs, do your research. Make sure the company is legit, and if they ask for payment or too much information upfront, it’s likely a scam.

Jobs that pay daily shouldn’t feel like a scam. Instead, they should offer tasks you can do easily and put money in your bank account daily or weekly.

What Are the Best Online Jobs to Get Paid Daily Without Experience?

Fortunately, many online jobs pay daily, and you don’t need experience. Survey sites, data entry, micro-tasks, and website testing are just a few jobs that pay well without experience. You can also sell items online to make money daily.

Can You Make a Living with Online Daily Pay Jobs?

Most people won’t make enough money with online daily pay jobs to cover all of their bills. So instead, consider it supplemental income you can use for unexpected expenses, splurges, or to save for specific goals, like emergency savings or retirement.

Side Hustles for College Students

The post Side Hustles for College Students appeared first on Millennial Money.

You don’t need special skills or to wait for someone to hire you to make extra money while in college. There are tons of side hustles for college students to start earning cash today.

Side hustles are jobs you do in your free time, versus working for an employer who sets your schedule. Depending on the type of side job, you might also be able to set your own rates and determine what services you’ll offer.

The best side hustles for college students are those you can do easily. Some students enjoy babysitting, for example, while others prefer to do odd jobs online in their free time. The key is to figure out what you do best and what won’t create more stress in your already busy college life.

If you’re a current student looking for a lucrative side hustle, then you’ve come to the right place. Below, I’m sharing the best side hustle ideas for college students today.

21 Smart Side Hustles for College Students

1. Pet Sitting and Dog Walking

Why not get paid to watch or walk pets if you love pets? Pet sitting can be rewarding because you get to spend time with your furry friends and make extra cash. You can advertise your pet sitting services online, around campus, or use a third-party service like Rover.

Before you agree to pet sit or walk pets, make sure you’ve outlined what you will and will not do. For example, if you watch dogs, will you stay at the house or visit the pets regularly while the owners are gone? If you walk pets, how often will you walk, and how far will you go?

Look at the rates other dog walkers and pet sitters charge in the area so you can be competitive. Also, look at what services they don’t offer so you can have a leg up on the competition to make more money.

2. Food and Grocery Delivery

If you have a vehicle or other means of transportation, you can deliver food or groceries for money. You can start these part-time side hustles by signing up with Instacart, Shipt, UberEats, or DoorDash.

Before you choose, decide if you like grocery shopping or prefer to deliver food from restaurants. With grocery shopping, you do the shopping yourself and then deliver it. If you deliver food, you pick up restaurant orders that are already ready and deliver them to the client.

With each of these apps, you set your own hours and pick up deliveries when you want. You can see the size of the order and the amount you’d earn if you accepted the order before taking it.

Like most side hustle apps, you keep 100% of your tips, so the better customer service you offer, the more money you’ll make.

3. Sell Items Online

If you have items you don’t use or love finding great deals, consider flipping them for a profit on flea market sites. You can sell secondhand and brand-new products and make a few dollars.

Depending on what you have to sell, there are several sites you can use to sell your items, including Amazon, Facebook Marketplace, eBay, Worthy, and Poshmark. Look around on each site to see the items sold to determine where your items would sell best.

Remember, when you sell things online, you must include shipping costs and be responsible for shipping the items promptly.

4. Blogging and Vlogging

If you love to write about a specific topic, consider blogging. On the other hand, if you aren’t a writer but love to talk, vlogging is the video version of blogging and can be one of the best side hustle jobs for college students.

The key to making money blogging is to find a niche- think about a topic you love and then find a niche within it. For example, if you love fashion, find a niche that isn’t over-saturated. Maybe you write about “fashion for college students” or “fashion for college students on a budget.”

As you build an audience, you can monetize your blog to make it the most profitable side hustle. For example, you can make money blogging by sharing affiliate links to partners you want to promote that make sense for your audience. As you gain momentum, brands may also approach you, asking you to dedicate a blog post or video about their products or brand, paying you to do so.

As a bonus, many bloggers (and influencers) also earn free products from brands that want you to promote them. So while it’s not money in your bank account, it can be fun to get free products.

5. Survey Apps

Taking surveys is one of the most well-known, legitimate side hustles any college student can do. You don’t need special skills, a lot of time, or to advertise your services. Instead, you download an app like Swagbucks, InboxDollars, or Survey Junkie, complete a profile and then answer surveys.

Market research companies send out surveys about products and brands to get consumers’ opinions. They pay college students to offer these opinions because it helps them create better products and services.

You won’t make a lot of money answering surveys. Still, if you sign up for a few platforms and provide many details about yourself in your profile, you increase your chances of covering your living expenses by answering surveys in your free time.

Most survey sites are first-come-first-serve, so make sure you check back often so you can take advantage of the highest-paying surveys.

6. Editing

Editing makes an excellent side hustle for college students who excel at writing. Many companies pay college students to edit their website content, blogs, or other related material. Students on your college campus may also need help proofreading their essays.

You can get work with this profitable side hustle in a few ways. For example, advertise your services around campus and online on local websites to gain a local audience, or use third-party platforms like Fiverr or Upwork to advertise your services.

Fiverr

There are many ways to make money on Fiverr, but one of the most popular is by offering your services as a virtual assistant. As a virtual assistant, you can offer a wide range of services, from social media management to customer service. If you have a strong work ethic and great organizational skills, you can easily build up a client base and start earning a significant income from Fiverr.

Upwork

There are a few ways that you can make money on Upwork. You can either find clients and work on their projects, or you can apply for jobs that have already been posted. You can also take advantage of the site’s freelancer membership, which allows you to access a variety of features and tools designed to help you succeed as a freelancer. Whichever method you choose, Upwork provides a great opportunity to earn money online.

7. Tutoring

College students are the perfect candidate to tutor students. You can tutor students or stick to elementary, middle, or high school students. Tutor in a subject you excel in and are comfortable teaching others.

You can be an online tutor or meet in person and make decent money. Check the average price others charge for tutoring services in your area. It might surprise you that you can make $50+ an hour for tutoring services.

8. Rideshare Driver

If you have a reliable car, auto insurance, and can pass a background check, you can sign up with rideshare services like Uber and Lyft. Both companies offer good side hustles to make money on your own time.

You set your own hours and choose which rides you’ll accept. Then, when you download the app and click that you’re available, you can see the requested rides and what they’ll pay. Both services offer some version of base pay and promotional pay during peak times or when they need more help. You also get to keep 100% of your tips earned from each service.

The nice thing is that you can make money when you need it or have a few hours free. You don’t have to set a schedule. If you suddenly find yourself with a few free hours, you can make yourself available and make some extra cash.

9. Photography

If you’re a photography major, it’s your minor, or taking pictures is just a fun hobby, turn it into an easy side hustle. If you already have the skill of taking good pictures, sell stock photos online.

This is an excellent example of a side hustle you can do both online and in person. You do a little work upfront (taking pictures) but then sell the stock photos online, making money while you sleep.

This is also a great passive income earner. You take the picture one time, edit it, and upload it to your favorite sites, such as Shutterstock or iStock Photo. Then, anyone can buy your picture from those sites, and you earn a commission each time you sell stock photos.

Shutterstock

Shutterstock is a stock photography website where users can purchase royalty-free images and videos. Additionally, Shutterstock has an editorial section that features photos and videos from around the world. While most of the content on Shutterstock is free to view, users must pay for a subscription or purchase credits in order to download photos and videos.

Shutterstock can be a great side hustle for anyone with a knack for photography or videography. Since Shutterstock pays out royalties to contributors every time one of their photos or videos is downloaded, it can be a great way to make some extra money.

If you’re interested in making money with Shutterstock, the first step is to sign up for a free account. Once you’ve created an account, you can start uploading your photos and videos.

iStock Photo

iStock Photo is a stock photography website that offers millions of royalty-free photos, illustrations, and videos. Like Shutterstock, you can purchase credits to download images, or you can sign up for a monthly or annual subscription to access all of the site’s content.

Photographers need only join the Stock community (only takes a few minutes), apply to be a contributor, and submit samples of their work where they will be evaluated and a decision made on their admission to the community.

10. Babysitting

Babysitting is a great side hustle for any college student. If you’re going to school to be a teacher or to work with kids in any other way, babysitting is beneficial in gaining relevant work experience.

You set your availability and rates and advertise your services. Consider putting your information on your social media pages and hanging flyers around the area. Tell everyone you know you’re willing to babysit; word-of-mouth is often the best way to get babysitting jobs.

Depending on where you live, you can charge between $15 – $25 (or more!) an hour for babysitting, which can pay you enough money to cover your living expenses and get ahead on your student loan debt.

11. Donate Plasma

If you’re looking for unique side hustles, consider donating plasma. You can do this a couple of times a month if you qualify. To be eligible, you must be in good health and pass the physical the donation center conducts.

College students are great candidates to donate plasma because it only takes a few hours a month, and you can make good money doing it. You’re also helping people in need since plasma is hard to come by, and many people with certain illnesses rely on it for their wellbeing.

12. Become a Lifeguard

Whether you go home in the summer or stay on campus, local pools are always looking for lifeguards. Check with the local community centers and private country clubs for lifeguarding opportunities.

If you’re a good swimmer and are good with kids, you could also double up and offer swimming lessons. Whether you get hired by the local community pool or offer them privately, you can make extra money teaching kids to swim.

If you have a busy college schedule that doesn’t leave much time to work a side hustle, consider using your car to advertise for companies. If you often drive off the college campus, companies may pay you to advertise for them.

The only time commitment you make to use your car to advertise is the time needed to wrap your vehicle. Once the sign is on your car, your only job is to drive. Neither you nor the company has to do any specific marketing, but the brand awareness increases almost naturally.

14. Website and App Testing

Companies pay college students to test websites and apps. These are good side hustles for college students who love technology and want to work on their own schedule. Night owls or early morning risers are great for these tasks, as are students who need a break mid-day.

Remember that to succeed at this legit side hustle; you must be able to focus. You’re testing websites and apps for bugs or issues. Companies want your honest feedback about your experience, so you must concentrate and pay attention to the minor details to share with them.

You might get paid to test new websites and apps or updates to existing programs before companies release them.

15. Haul Junk

Some people don’t want to deal with selling old items online or at a flea market. Instead, they want the junk gone. If you have your own pickup truck, you can offer services to pick up and haul away other people’s trash.

If you have extra storage space and want to sell the items at an online flea market, you could offer those services too. Both opportunities are great side hustles to make extra money.

You can do this job once in a while and make decent money. Consider the time it will take to drive to the pickup location, to the junkyard, and offload the items when determining your rates.

16. Virtual Assistant

Consider being a virtual assistant if you prefer to work odd jobs online. You’ll usually need a few free hours daily to do this, so make sure it fits your schedule. Virtual assistants can do a variety of tasks, including:

  • Answer emails
  • Manage appointments or calendars
  • Graphic design
  • Blog posting
  • Social media management

Working as a virtual assistant is a great way to gain more experience in the business world, helping build your resume so that when you’re ready to find jobs after graduation, you have some experience under your belt.

17. Freelance Work

The internet made freelance work possible in many industries. Think about what you’re good at, and chances are there is freelance work available.

You can do basic tasks like data entry work or more intense work like freelance writing, proofreading, blogging, video creation, social media management, or graphic design.

Fiverr is an excellent platform for freelance work. You create a profile and ‘gigs’ that describe what you offer and Fiverr’s large audience can see what you offer and purchase your gigs.

Fiverr keeps 20% of your profits, so keep that in mind as you set your rates.

18. Housecleaning

If you love to clean houses, set up a housecleaning business. This type of business does best with word-of-mouth and local area advertising. If you’ve already cleaned a few houses, ask your clients to spread the word or to leave you a review on your social media page so others can see that you offer a great service.

This works best in busy cities because you’ll have more opportunities to advertise your services, but even small college town homeowners need housecleaners.

19. Thrift Flipping

If you love the thrill of a good hunt, consider thrift flipping for an easy side hustle. You find the items at flea markets, Goodwill, or thrift shops and sell them online for a profit. eBay is the most popular site to use for thrift flipping, but you can also sell your finds on Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist.

20. Car Detailing

If you love cars, car detailing can be a fun side hustle for college students. In your spare time, you can detail cars. You decide what services you’ll offer, whether you’ll clean the interior and exterior or just the exterior. You can also get more specific about what you’ll do to a car’s exterior, such as washing, buffing, waxing, or cleaning tires.

21. Gardening and Lawn Maintenance

Gardening and lawn maintenance are the best side hustles during the spring and summer. You can make good money taking care of lawns when you’re off school. While it’s a lot of physical work, the money you make taking care of lawns can provide extra funds to pay off student loans or at least get a head start on them.

Online Side Hustles for College Students vs. In-Person

Students can find great side hustles online and in person. It depends on your abilities, how much control you want, and if you want to leave your apartment/dorm or work remotely.

Pros & Cons of Online Side Hustles

Online side hustles are convenient because you can often work them during any hours. For example, if you’re a night owl and are up at 1 AM, you can work your online business and make extra cash. On the other hand, if you’re an early riser, you can finish the tasks early in the morning and have the rest of the day for your school responsibilities.

You can find easy side hustles online, such as data entry, web development, online tutoring, or freelance writing.

There are some downsides of online side hustles, though. Depending on your chosen job, you may have to handle your own marketing or pay a third-party platform a portion of your earnings. For example, if you advertise tasks on Fiverr, they keep 20% of your profits, leaving you with less money in your pocket. You must also be detail oriented and organized to make an online side hustle worth it.

Pros & Cons of In-person Side Hustles

If you prefer in-person work, there are many flexible side hustles to consider. You can create your schedule ahead of time with many platforms.

In-person side hustles often pay good money, too, since you’re doing physical labor, such as driving, delivering, or watching kids or pets.

Working in person side hustle jobs has its downsides too. Your busy college schedule may make it hard to schedule your shifts.. You are at the mercy of the service’s hours, though. If you have more time late at night, you’ll have fewer options.

FAQs

What Are the Most Lucrative Side Hustles for Extra Money as a College Student?

The most lucrative side hustles for college students are those you can do consistently. For example, if you love to drive, signing up with Uber or DoorDash is a great way to make money. But, if you have limited time and like to work during odd hours, online side hustles you can work in your spare time are best.

What College Side Hustles Pay the Most?

Many of the best side hustles that pay the most money are those you do in person, like babysitting, pet sitting, lawn maintenance, or tutoring. But, of course, you set your own rates, and we recommend seeing what your competitors charge, so you keep your rates competitive too.

What Are the Most Flexible Jobs for College Students?

The most flexible jobs for college students are those you can do online. College students can do virtual odd jobs like taking surveys, editing, and freelance writing at any time, day or night, and in their free time. This allows you to make extra cash without worrying about overwhelming yourself with a schedule.

Does Making Income From a Side Hustle Affect Financial Aid Eligibility?

Need-based financial aid is awarded on the basis of your family’s financial need, as determined by the information you provide on the FAFSA. Your eligibility for need-based aid may be reduced if your side hustle income is taken into account when your need is calculated.

How to Make $40 Fast

The post How to Make $40 Fast appeared first on Millennial Money.

Life happens, and even when you carefully plan, things don’t always pan out the way you predict. Whether you need extra money to cover a bill or unexpected expense, there are ways to make 40 dollars fast without having to borrow from a friend or family member.

You’ll find plenty of money-making ideas on the internet, but they aren’t all legit. So, before you dive headfirst into something that seems too good to be true, check out these proven ways to make money fast. While these methods won’t pay your mortgage, they are guaranteed to help you earn quick money when you’re in a pinch.

Need $40 Right Now?

The methods we’ve listed below require some work on your end and may take a few weeks to show up in your bank account. If you’re in a pinch and need money right now, you may want to consider a cash advance.

These cash advance apps will spot you the cash you need to help you get by until your next paycheck.

  • Albert: With Albert, you can get as much as $250 with no credit check, interest, or late fees. Get your funds deposited instantly!
  • Chime: SpotMe is a free service for accountholders that lets you overdraw on debit card purchases by up to $200.
  • Empower: Empower offers up to $250 in instant funds, with no interest, fees, or credit checks.

16 Simple Ways to Make $40 Dollars Fast

1. Swagbucks

Swagbucks offers easy money. They pay you for tasks such as taking surveys, watching videos, playing games, surfing the internet, and online shopping. They pay a $10 sign-up bonus, and you earn ‘Swagbucks’ for each activity you complete.

They’ve paid their members over $758 million so far, and you can earn gift cards to your favorite stores or cash out via PayPal to get cash rewards right away.

100 Swagbucks is equal to one dollar, and you can cash out your rewards in any increment. This means you can cash out as soon as you have the money, whether a few dollars or several hundred dollars.

If you need to earn forty dollars fast, look for the highest-paying surveys and paid offers first. For example, if you sign up for Uber or Lyft through their site, they often run a deal that you earn a decent amount of SBs. You must qualify for market research surveys, so don’t put all your effort into them since you may not be eligible for everyone, but adding a few into your day can help you reach your $40 threshold quickly.

It’s free and easy to sign up. You must provide your email address and create a password. From there, follow the prompts to complete your profile. Provide as many details as possible in the profile to increase your chances of winning free gift cards and earning money online. The more information you provide, the easier it is for Swagbucks to match you with surveys and provide qualified offers.

2. Rent Out Space on Airbnb

If you have a spare room or extra space in your home, consider renting it on Airbnb. This means you’ll share your area with someone, unless you’re away while they are there, but you can make more than 40 dollars in a single booking.

You are in charge of what you rent out, the dates, the cost, and even the amenities. So whether you rent your room out only when you need extra cash fast or rent it regularly, it’s a great way to make good money on a room you don’t use.

If you have a finished basement no one uses or an extra bedroom, it can be a quick way to earn money. Just ensure you are honest in your listing and provide great customer service, and Airbnb can be a great way to continue making money when you need it.

You don’t have to rent out an entire home on Airbnb either. Many people rent a spare room or rent their space out when they are on vacation to make a little money.

3. Make Deliveries with DoorDash

Working for DoorDash, you create your own schedule and choose which deliveries you’ll take. You get paid a base fee from DoorDash for each delivery, plus you keep the tips all customers pay. The better customer service you provide, the higher tips you’ll earn.

You can schedule your shifts or just click ‘Dash Now’ and pick up orders when you have free time. If you deliver food during peak times or DoorDash ‘challenges’, you can earn extra cash delivering food.

To be a Dasher, you must be at least 18 years old, have a reliable vehicle (or scooter), and a valid driver’s license and Social Security card. To sign up, you must download the app and create an account. After you provide the required information and agree to a background and motor vehicle check, you’ll receive approval to start dashing.

4. Freelance Writing

Freelance writing is a good way to make higher earnings. Like most side gigs, you can work it when you want and as little or as much as you want- but the pay is good.

Writing is one of the easiest ways to make $40 because you can make that with just one assignment, depending on what you write about. When you start, you might write for content mills, or you can try sites like Fiverr or Upwork.

Millions of businesses need content since most business owners don’t have the time to keep up with it. The best way to make money writing is to brush up on your writing skills and familiarize yourself with SEO practices. This allows you to market your services to small businesses trying to rank in Google and other search engines.

Depending on where you write, you can usually set your own prices and make extra money fast- typically anywhere between $0.01 per word and $0.25 per word.

There are many options to earn money writing too. For example, you can write blog posts, website content, sales copy, and video scripts.

5. Get Refunds with Capital One Price Protection

If you hate finding out after you bought something that the price dropped, Capital One Shopping (formerly Paribus) is the app for you. Sign up for Capital One Price Protection and if they notice a price drop for an item you purchased, they’ll get you a refund. It’s like getting paid to shop without having to do the legwork.

So far, Paribus by Capital One Shopping has filed over $20 million in refunds for its members. It works on all online purchases for 30 days.

Occasionally you may have to initiate the refund if the retailer requires it, but most of the time, you’ll find the extra money in your account, receiving the refund in the method you paid. It’s a great way to earn free money for doing nothing.

6. Clickworker

If you don’t mind microtasks, you can earn money with Clickworker. Once you sign up, you choose from the jobs available. Some examples include:

  • Creating texts
  • Categorizing data
  • Proofreading
  • Research
  • Market research surveys
  • Mystery visits
  • App testing
  • Take photos
  • Record audio clips
  • Record videos

After you create an account, you must take assessments to accept jobs. This tells Clickworker what tasks you’re capable of doing. Then, as you gain experience, you’ll get access to more and higher-paying jobs.

Clickworker pays PayPal cash weekly or monthly, making it easy to earn quick cash when needed.

7. Fetch Rewards

If you love shopping online and in-person, get rewarded for your receipts. Fetch Rewards pays you to upload your receipts to any store, but they also pay bonuses for certain purchases. You won’t earn cash, but you can turn your rewards in for gift cards to your favorite stores.

If you choose stores like Target or Walmart, you can use the gift cards to make your everyday purchases, and it’s like cash in your pocket. It takes 3,000 points to earn a $3 reward, which is the minimum to cash out.

You can also earn rewards for redeeming special offers, referring friends, buying popular brands, and linking your Amazon account to earn points for your online purchases.

8. MyPoints

MyPoints is another cashback site that pays you to shop online and take surveys. When you shop through MyPoints, you can search for coupon codes and deals at your favorite stores, plus earn points for your purchases.

MyPoints also pays points for you to answer surveys from some of the country’s largest stores and brands. Then, when you’re ready to cash out, you can choose gift cards to your favorite stores or PayPal money.

MyPoints pays you $10 when you sign up, and with a few purchases of everyday items, you’ll be well on your way to earning 40 dollars fast.

9. Uber

If you don’t mind driving, you can make money driving for Uber. You choose your schedule and even which rides you want to accept. Uber pays a base fee for each ride, and you keep 100% of the customer tips. They also run promotions at certain times. So if you meet the requirements, you can earn extra money.

On average, Uber drivers earn $15 to $22 an hour, which means you’d only have to work a few hours to earn 40 dollars.

Uber pays out weekly, so you can have your money fast, and if you live in a market where they offer Instant Pay, you can cash out as often as five times a day for a fee.

It’s easy to sign up for Uber. First, download the app and provide some basic information about yourself and the car you’ll drive. You’ll also provide your driver’s license number and other information so they can run a background check on you.

Once approved, you can open the app and click ‘Go.’ You’ll be matched with a rider and have the option to accept or decline the request. You’ll know everything about the trip, including the amount you’d earn. Once you complete the trip, the earnings immediately go into your account.

10. Sell on Popular Apps and Websites

You can make money selling stuff on popular sites like eBay, Poshmark, and Facebook Marketplace. First, look around your home and find items you no longer use that are in good condition, such as household goods, clothes, toys, and sporting goods. Then, do a quick search to see if anyone else has something similar listed to check out their pricing or how much money items sold for in the past.

Ebay

eBay is good for antiques, household items, hard-to-find products, electronics, and sports memorabilia. You can set up a fixed-price listing or an auction. An auction-style listing may make you even more money if you have a popular item because its popularity will increase the price.

Poshmark

Poshmark is good for designer clothes and accessories. You can set up a ‘closet’ and sell your items for the prices you set. Buyers can negotiate with you, but you aren’t required to accept the offers.

Facebook Marketplace

Facebook Marketplace is good for larger items you wouldn’t sell online because they are too hard to ship, but you can also sell smaller items if you’re willing to ship. In addition, it’s free to list and sell on Facebook, which is another nice feature since eBay takes a portion of your sale.

11. Ibotta

iBotta was one of the first cashback grocery apps, paying you to shop for food and household goods. Today you can earn cash rewards for grocery shopping, travel, and online shopping.

Ibotta pays as much as 30% of your purchase at online stores and offers special deals for grocery purchases too. Once you download the app and activate your offers, you’re on your way to earning money.

Currently, Ibotta has an offer for new members to earn $5 when you spend $15, making it easy to earn $40 fast.

12. Rocket Money (formerly Truebill)

Truebill, now Rocket Money, helps you save more and spend less. With 3.4 million members and a 4.5-star rating, it’s easy to convince yourself to use the app to save money.

First, Rocket Money helps you cancel any unwanted subscriptions. It finds the subscriptions linked to your financial accounts and asks for approval to cancel them. This can put more money in your pocket immediately.

It also helps you stay on top of your spending, alerting you of any serious situations, such as you’re about to go over your limit or you spent more money on certain items. Rocket Money also negotiates certain bills to get you the best rates, creates a budget for you, and tracks your credit score.

Finally, Truebill, now known as Rocket Money, will get familiar with your spending habits and find money you can save, putting your savings on autopilot. Before you know it, you’ll have more than 40 dollars saved for those unexpected times.

13. Taskrabbit

Taskrabbit is a great way to earn money doing side jobs. Taskrabbit is available in 60 cities, allowing you to advertise your services or what you’re willing to do to make money. You set your own rates, but subscribers can also tip you, increasing your earnings.

To use Taskrabbit, you must be at least 18 years old, have a checking account, and pass a background check. If approved, you’ll write a ‘pitch’ that explains why buyers should hire you for the job. Since buyers can rate and review you on the app, make sure you only choose tasks you know you’ll perform well.

The tasks you can do on Taskrabbit are endless, but here are some of the common jobs:

  • Run errands
  • Do handy work
  • Assemble furniture
  • Clean houses
  • Do yardwork
  • Wait in line, on the phone, or at the person’s home for a delivery

The possibilities are endless. You list what you would do and create a listing that attracts Taskrabbit customers to it. Taskrabbit will keep a small percentage of the amount you earn in exchange for using the app.

14. Trim

If you know you should negotiate your utility, cable, and phone bills but don’t have time, Trim can do it for you. While this isn’t one of the traditional money-making apps, it does make you money by lowering your bills.

Trim saves customers an average of $620 a year, making it easy to earn your 40 dollars fast. Besides negotiating your most common bills, Trim checks for unwanted subscriptions, negotiates medical bills, and analyze your spending habits to see what small changes you can make to save money.

One of their best services is negotiating the APR on your credit and bank account cards. They also help lower any financial fees you pay.

This free app helps you save money, just like money-making apps but without the work. Instead, you sit back while Trim does all the work.

15. Gaming Apps

If you love playing games, consider gaming apps that pay you to play. You won’t earn much money, but every bit adds up to help you reach $40.

We like to think of gaming apps as earning free money since you don’t have to do anything except play games in your free time. Mistplay is a common gaming app, but other apps like Solitaire Cube and Blackout Bingo exist too.

Mistplay

Mistplay is a free app with a focus on gameplay. These free games earn users “units” or points. When a user is ready, they can redeem their units for popular gift cards (Amazon, iTunes, Gamestop, Xbox, Visa, Starbucks, etc.). While only available for Android users at the moment on the Google Play Store, Mistplay plans to roll out an ios version later on.

Solitaire Cube

If you’re a solitaire fan, Solitaire Cube may interest you! Players are competing against other users in tournaments- winners receive monetary prizes. While not as reliable as other gaming apps for making a profit, it has the potential to bring in serious cash, with tournament prizes ranging anywhere from a few dollars to a couple thousand. Solitaire Cube is available to both Apple and Android users.

Blackout Bingo

Blackout Bingo is an ad-free gaming app that allows users to cash out on their Apple Pay or PayPal accounts. Blackout Bingo games are quick, only 2 minutes, where users compete against one other opponent. The goal is to earn more points than your opponent by getting as many Bingos as you can!

16. Survey Apps

The highest-paying survey sites pay you to answer surveys about your favorite stores and brands. Complete a profile on the highest-paying survey sites with as many details as possible. The more detailed your profile is, the more surveys they can match you to, helping you earn money.

Most online surveys have a screener. If you don’t meet the requirements after taking the screener, you usually earn a little money (a dollar or two), which again can add up to help you reach your goal of earning real cash prizes.

Some of the best survey sites include Survey Junkie, InboxDollars, and Branded Surveys. Signing up for multiple survey sites increases your chances of qualifying for surveys. For example, if you take a few a day, you could reach your $40 quickly.

Survey Junkie

Survey Junkie is a market research company that lets you take surveys in exchange for cash. You can sign up for free, and then start taking surveys to earn money. You can also sign up for Survey Junkie’s partner program, which lets you earn even more money by taking surveys and referring friends. The more friends you refer, the more money you can make.

Inbox Dollars

InboxDollars is a company that pays people to read emails and take surveys. They also offer opportunities to earn cash by playing games and shopping online. Once you create an account, you’ll need to confirm your email address. After that, you can start completing activities to earn cash. Most of the tasks on InboxDollars are worth a few cents, but they can add up quickly if you complete a lot of them. There is no minimum cash-out amount, so you can cash out your earnings at any time.

Branded Surveys

Branded Surveys is an online market research panel where members can earn rewards for taking online surveys, referring friends, completing profile surveys, and participating in focus groups and product testing opportunities.

To join, simply sign up with your email address or connect your Facebook account. Once you’re signed up, you’ll start receiving survey invitations in your email inbox. Just click on the link in the email to complete the survey.

Most surveys take about 15 minutes to complete, and you’ll typically earn between 50 and 500 points per survey. 100 points are equivalent to $1. You can redeem your earnings for cash or gift cards, and payments are made through PayPal, Branded Pay, or gift cards. You can also donate your earnings to charity.

How do I tell if a side hustle is not legit?

While you can find many opportunities online, not all of them are legitimate. Here are a few things to look out for that may indicate a side hustle is not on the up-and-up: the pay is too good to be true, you’re asked to pay upfront for something, the company is vague about what you’ll be doing, and/or you’re asked for personal information before you’ve even applied.

Legitimate companies will usually wait until after you’ve applied to request personal information. Keep these warning signs in mind when choosing your next side-hustle.
