Most personal finance experts don’t recommend chasing credit card points, and neither do I. But I do automate my rewards points to help pad my Roth IRA. With Fidelity’s 2% Cash Back rewards, I pay my bills using my credit card. I have my rewards set to automatically be redeemed in my Roth IRA and then I invest that money to fund my retirement.
Although it won’t make you rich, you can also use credit card points to fund things like travel. Expenses that you pay anyway (think: rent, groceries, gas, etc.) are great to use your credit card for and gather points. Once you get enough, you might be able to get free flights or lodging for a vacation (depending on your chosen credit card).
Like most other personal finance enthusiasts, I recommend this approach only if you pay your balance in full and do not use your credit card as an excuse to spend extra money that you wouldn’t already spend. If you have a large expense coming up, opening a new credit card and redeeming points can elevate your financial goals.
Survey Sites
Like credit card rewards, survey sites won’t make you rich or replace your full-time job. That being said, I tend to make an extra $10 to $25 per month with Swagbucks.
Swagbucks is a great way to “passively” make money online. It gives you rewards for things that you already do, like online shopping, buying gift cards, and searching the web.
I love using Swagbucks when I need to make a purchase from Amazon or another online retailer. It’s not completely passive income, but with minimal time and effort, I can stack a few cents easily throughout the day.
Cash Back Programs

Free Stock Apps
If you’re new to investing and don’t want to risk any of your own money, look out for opportunities to invest with free stocks. Companies like Robinhood and Webull will often reward you with free stocks if you use their apps for investing. Affiliate Marketing
Affiliate marketing can be lucrative for little effort. If you have a large audience (say, through a blog) that has your trust, affiliate marketing could be a great opportunity for you. With affiliate marketing, you receive a small percentage of online purchases made from your unique link.

You leave an affiliate link there with your recommendation so that if your followers want to purchase the same knife, you can get a small percentage of the price they pay.
